Rep. Sam Liccardo unveils AI workforce tax credit bill

The legislation, titled the Supporting Knowledge Through Industry-Led Learning (SKILL) Act, was unveiled on June 22, 2026.

The tax credits are intended to encourage private sector investment in workforce training for emerging AI fields.

The SKILL Act represents a policy approach to address potential workforce displacement from AI adoption.
